Off-Grid Camper Cafe is a socially responsible business. We care about the planet and humanity. We are aware of the negative impact cafes can have on the environment when sustainability is not a priority. It is our commitment to minimise that impact. Our mobile cafe is solar powered. Thanks to Lynac Lithium we can make hand-pressed espresso wherever, whenever.
We support local. Living on Vancouver Island there is an abundance of amazing local food and high quality produce to choose from.
Our baking flour is milled by Vancouver Island Grain and Milling, and of course our coffee is from Tofino Coffee Roasting Company.
Used coffee grounds are not waste. They can be used for a variety of different applications. Our friends at Long Beach Farms use the grounds in their compost. We use it to make our espresso soap! If you have a purpose for used coffee grounds and would like some please get in touch with us, there is plenty to share.
All receipts are issued by email only. Our coffee bean packaging, mailers and single use lid are compostable. We wish our paper cups were too but as they are not accepted in local compost pick ups we are opting for recyclable cups at this time. Although single use cups are available. We insist that customers enjoy their drink at the cafe from one of our ceramic mugs or glasses. Alternatively, you can bring your own mug for a 50c discount.
